Glad The Holidays Are Over!..finally

Okay, now that we've all sent the Happy New Year texts and everyone is dreading the end of the festive season but , if you are a political junkie like me , the real fun has begun. Why? The Iowa Caucus is on January the 3rd.Yes! Not too long now. Either 2 things can happen Mitt Romney will win, therefore making the likelihood of him being the Republican nominee inevitable ( that's the boring version ) or Ron Paul , Newt Gingrich or even Rick Santorum may win Iowa and elongating the primary process.

Ron Paul's chances seem to have diminished following the revelation of his newsletters and other publications which had racially insensitive undertones. I have always thought Ron Paul's policy were not realistic for government and have never been a supporter but it's interesting all this had never come out before - Ron Paul has been running for president for as long as I started following politics ( 2008 ) - but as soon as there is an actual opportunity that he may be the nominee - the revelations come up. It is unclear, if this is a Republican campaign attack or a Democratic but one thing for sure is , it has the imprint of the same people who derailed Herman Cain's campaign. So who will win Iowa? We'll see

'I pray a lot, because I'm prone to make a lot of mistakes' : Rick Perry

Lord knows we all need prayer! Couldn't have said it better myself,  Governor  Perry.

Asked by a woman at the Button Factory Restaurant about the role prayer plays in his life, Perry responded, "Well, I prayed right before I walked over here that I wouldn't make any mistakes that my friends in the media would be able to put on television."
The Texas governor grinned and looked out at the assembled media on the press riser -- the traveling press pool currently includes eight reporters -- before turning back to the questioner.
"I pray a lot," he continued, "because I'm prone to make a lot of mistakes."

Yep..She is still relevant!

Ask Mitt Romney Where He Stands on Raising Your Taxes ?

The Obama campaign has started turning the heat on Mitt Romney. If you remember anything about the 2008 elections - you will remember that the Obama Campaign machinery was the slickest in modern political history - so it will be interesting to see how they deal with this cycle with the President being an incumbent.

Bring on 2012!

2012 can not come quick enough! It's a big political year , so if you are a political junkie like me- 2012 is the year.

The U.S Presidential election will be interesting to watch - the republican candidates are a politically unattractive  lot . Mitt Romney is the perceived front runner - he just comes across as vanilla to me , cautious ,self preserving and a career politician who is always running and seeking affirmation in being appointed to a political post.

The most able and probably intellectual heavyweight who ,in my opinion should be the nominee - John Huntsman is just not gaining any traction at all.

The Republican line up is very weak and the President is  very good when he is on campaign mode. Bring on 2012!
